Target Haul! ♥

This October is a thing in the past, it is now November! How was everyone's October and Halloween?

I had a great October, my first full month in my new house. Something about coming home to a house makes me feel happy and cozy. I love that I can decorate any way that I want without a fee or having to ask permission! Another great thing about a house is that you have a yard!

Ok, enough of my gushing... Onto what this post is about.

I love Target. No, that's an understatement... I just can't enough Target! They having everything ranging from clothing to cosmetics to home decor to groceries! So I've recently made a trip to the local target and got a few fun things and a few necessities.

Due to the fact that I now have a house with two bathrooms (my apartment had one) I needed a few bathroom essentials to dress up the guest bathroom!

First on my list was a shower caddy.
This shower cary is a dark brown brassy color and it's HUGGGEEEE! I adore it, it can hold and store many things; it's just very basic which I like

Next on the list was a bathroom rug

This was a difficult decision for me because I didn't just want to willy-nilly buy something. I wanted some sort of theme for the bathroom, a rug that could go along with a theme I had in mind. I decided on this creamy vanilla microfiber shag rug. It's incredibly soft and light. I may steal it for my bathroom! :) hehe.

I got this plastic white woven bin for under the sink in my bathroom. I'll use it to store body lotions, hair products, skin care products etc. Basically, any beauty related item that doesn't fit in my medicine cabinet/ I don't use on a daily basis. With that being said, I still want the products close by!

I'm a huge movie addict! I picked up Disney's Brave and Flight. Two great movies.  Check them out.

The rest of the items I picked up are home decor. A red decorate pail and table scatter. The table scatter consists of brown leaves, red leaves, and pumpkins. They are "fall-esque" but I have not yet decided where I'd like them to be! I'm thinking either the kitchen table or a bookshelf... Decisions decisions.

& that completes all of the haul! Let me know in the comments any suggestions on what to do with my table scatter! As always, thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed.
Leave suggests for future blog posts!

My Experience: Haunted Corn Maze! ♥

October brings us many great things. Sweater weather, hot apple cider, candy corn, trick or treating, scary movies… and haunted houses and corn mazes!

AHHHHH!

My family & I love haunted houses, haunted hayrides & haunted corn mazes. Something about being chased by a man in ghoulish makeup and a knife prop is so much fun! The adrenaline rush and sheer panic is what makes the experience.

Recently my family & I visited the Haunted Field of Screams in Thornton, Colorado.

This is a maze that I have been to for the past 6 years of Halloween frights. Unfortunately, compared to past years, it was not very good. The actors were way too young, they also talked too much which kills the scare factor. The props were too unrealistic. Overall this experience was a flop, in my opinion. The real fun was scaring my over-the-top screaming cousin, Ashley!

The corn was eery, as always.

Comment below any experiences you've had (good and bad) at a haunted corn maze!! -XOXO Jess

My Experience: International Travel! ♥

work for an airline, so traveling is no big deal to me. Packing is easy; traveling is even easier. Over the summer I traveled to the UK.

I flew on this monster (787 for my fellow airline geeks) and it was definitely an experience I had wanted to do! The aircraft was huge!

It's configuration is 3 seats, an aisle, then four seats, then another aisle, finally 3 more seats. That's a total of 10 seats in one row! Incredibly large airplane to say the least.

Traveling to another country is far from traveling within the country. I got lost a couple of times in the airport in London. Thankfully, there was another flight leaving 1 hour after my original flight which I totally missed by the way

Once I made it to Dublin, all my worries were set aside. I had made it to my final destination: the beautiful country of Ireland!

It was different from anything I had ever experienced. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

The castles, the greenery, even the pubs were magical! The Irish know how to live well!

Though I did not drive, my father drove, I could tell how difficult it was due to the fact that they drive opposite Americans. Driving was probably the most difficult thing about traveling international in my case because there was no language barrier. At times the Irish accent was hard to comprehend but locals were nice enough to repeat.
In short, on our trip to Ireland we:
•Saw the rock of Cashel
•Traveled around the Ring of Kerry
•Guinness beer factory tour
•Kilbeggan whiskey factory tour
•Jameson whiskey factory tour
•Cliffs of Mohr
•Dublin (traveled the city)
•Blarney Castle/Poison Garden
•Sean's bar in Galway

My favorite part was the castles! We don't have castles in Colorado like the castles I saw in Ireland!

I would love to travel back to Ireland to see more of its beauty. In fact, I'd like to travel around the UK a bit more.

I'm going to add a few more photos from my trip. 😊
 WILD SHAMROCKS!!
What's next on my list of travels you ask?

•Scotland
•Italy
•London
•Switzerland
•Germany
•Peru
•Hong Kong
•New Zealand
•Australia
•Egypt
•Cancun
•Belgium
•Spain

Not in any particular order and not nearly all the places I would like to visit! I do intend to travel the world though… eventually. :)💕

Thanks for reading, comment below telling me your experiences! -XOXO Jess

FOTD: Face Of The Day!

Happy October, everyone!
It seems as though September has flown by without so much as a "hello."

But I shan't dwell on the past, its all about the present. I welcome October with open arms as fall is my favorite time of the year!

In celebration of October and fall time, I have done my makeup as a sort of transition from summer into fall! Yaaaaaaaaay!

To begin, I used Neutrogena SkinClearing Mineral Powder in Natural Ivory

Followed by NYX Mosaic Powder in Spice on my cheeks and temples

For eyes: Benefit's Watt's Up all over the lid and BHcosmetics "San Francisco" from the California Collection blended into the crease

I used a gel liner by Cailyn in Iron, its a beautiful granite/gray shade

Curled my lashes with a lash curler by Revlon and swept Benefit's They're Real on my lashes

Final touch: Lipstick by Mirabella in Posy

I can post a tutorial on YouTube if anyone wants, just let me know :)
Thanks for reading. -xoxo jess

All About The Hair

I'm the type of person that enjoys changes in life. When i continued into high school from middle school, I was elated! New school, new people, new teachers, new subjects, new learning... I could go on....

When it comes to my hair, it's really no different.

I'm indecisive with my hair; I am a woman. There's no shocker here! I have been known to say "I hate when my hair is short;" yet I always seem to be cutting it!

It's a vicious cycle.

I do look cute with short hair though.

I am currently growing out my hair; it's kind of painful, I'll admit. I've never wanted to cut my hair so badly before!

Irregardless, I enjoy short hair and long hair for different reasons.

Do you prefer shorter hair or longer hair? Comment answers and we can chat! :)

My Beautiful Russian Blue

It was November 2012, I was blessed with a little cutie now named Nala. we had adopted her from the Dumb Friends League when she was almost a year old. I love my Nala-bug!

It's Been Awhile, Yeah?

The latest blog I've posted was about life right after high school. Which for me, was over two years ago. WOW! Time sure does fly... Which is both a blessing and a curse.

In the course of two years I have started college, I fell in love, bought my first new car, bought a house, traveled outside of and around the country, and got a steady job.

HOLD THE PHONE RIGHT NOW....

Life moves so fast, you barely have time to breathe. But whats strange is that you never know how fast it's moving unless you reflect back. Which is what I'm doing right now.

Don't get me wrong, i love my life right now. I have a brand new car, a cute little yellow house, and the man of my dreams by my side 24/7. Yet, i can't help but feel nostalgic because I wish i was 18 again. Life was so tremendously easy but I thought it was so hard. I thought paying for my own gas was harsh.

Silly 18-year-old self.

I'm happy with where I am in my life and I'm proud to say I've worked hard to be here.

Now for enjoyment, here is a picture of me before work. I worked at a grocery store right after high school! How cute was I? All excited to work..

My Life Is Average

I'm pretty sure that it's not easy for anyone when they grow up. It's July and I graduated in mid May but it feels like it has been ages since I graduated. I'm not ready for the real world. It's nice that I got a job right after high school, I'll give life that, but it's a downer that most of my money goes towards bills. Don't get me wrong, I live with my parents, so housing is covered-for now. But I have to pay my phone bill, my car insurance, gas for my car, and sometimes food. Now, I've never been all that into my family's financial needs but now I kind of have to be. Gas is not cheap at all, and I need a cell phone because what happens in my car breaks down on my way home form work? I think I've learned more after high school that I did i high school...
